Why get an MG4 Urban EV on Motability…

Here's the thing about the MG4 EV Urban - it's technically the budget option in MG's electric range, but it really doesn't feel like one and it's one of the most affordable electric cars available on Motability right now. But affordable doesn't mean basic.

You still get a 12.8-inch HD touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a full suite of safety systems including adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection, and heated seats on the Premium trim. The real surprise is just how spacious it is - the boot holds up to 577 litres with underfloor storage, which is class-leading and actually bigger than the standard MG4. Rear passengers get genuine legroom too, not the kind where someone over five-foot-eight starts looking uncomfortable after ten minutes.

Range tops out at 258 miles on the Long Range models, with a heat pump fitted as standard to help keep things consistent through winter. It charges from 10 to 80 per cent in roughly 28 minutes on a rapid charger. For Motability customers who want a practical, well-equipped electric car without a hefty advance payment, the MG4 Urban is hard to beat.
