Our sales team are the face of the Chorley Group and the primary ambassadors of the Chorley Group brand and values. We recruit our sales executive from all walks of life with a wide variety of different experiences and backgrounds.
The sales team are in many ways the most important part of the organisation. They are the bridge between Chorley Group and our customers, responsible for carrying out our values and standards as a group.
Sales executives sell a combination of new and used cars, advise/arrange test drives and build rapport with our customers. All our sales staff are trained to be FCA (Finance Conduct Authority) approved, meaning they are all experts in car finance and can recommend appropriate options to our customers.
As a member of the sales team, they are required to follow our sales process through the initial customer enquiry through to delivery and beyond. They are meticulously with paperwork and are organised and compliant with all industry standards.
Above all, they are approachable and friendly. A key responsibility to all our staff (but especially the sales team) is to constantly demonstrate the Chorley Group family ethos 'Big Enough to Cope, Small Enough to Care'.
Depending on the vacancies available, the requirement level to become a sales executive can vary. Some car sales jobs will require some motor retail experience however we are open minded to different types of candidates and experience is not essential in plenty of our roles.
What we look for in our candidates in professionalism, enthusiasm, a high level of attention and eager to learn new skills. A positive attitude and good manners go a long way in compensating for a lack of experience. As a minimum requirement we do require candidates have a full UK driving licence.
All our sales executive receive the appropriate and necessary training whilst working with the Chorley Group. This includes all the official manufacturer product training, handling finance products and other industry standards/requirements.
