An MOT lasts for 12 months & the date of expiry is printed on your current MOT certificate.You can book your MOT a month in advance (minus a day) before it is due to expire.
(Example: If your MOT expires on 15th May, the earliest you can renew your MOT with the same renewal date for 2022 is 16th April – essentially giving you 13 months MOT cover)
