Need To Know More About Electric Cars? No Problem, Kia Has You Covered.

  • New app has been designed to answer your questions about going electric
  • Get to know the basics of driving an EV and how owning one can benefit you
  • Visualise and learn about EV cars in the real world with augmented reality
  • App is free to download and compatible with many iOS and Android devices

Kia Motors Europe has launched a new app titled 'Go Electric', designed to explain to you all the ins and outs of owning an EV if you are considering switching from a traditional combustion engine to a more economical vehicle.

Do you need to know how the powertrains work? How the driving experience differs? How to charge? No problem. These are some of the most common questions manufacturers get from customers looking to change to EV, and they're great questions, ones that are easily answered by the Go Electric application, although this is the tip of the iceberg for what the application is able to answer. So go ahead, ask it something!

The first version of the application is based around the Kia e-Niro, and once inside the app, it allows you to delve into the car's many features, technologies and battery performance, giving you a better understanding of how Kia's top-selling EV works and how the majority of EV's work from different manufacturers.

Another cool feature of the app is that it allows you to customise your ideal e-Niro and created a visualisation (Augmented Reality) of the car in your favourite colour, in real world surroundings, all from the comfort of your own home on your tablet/smartphone.

It doesn't matter if you're an Apple or Android fan, the app is compatible with most of these iOS/Android devices and Kia aim to also update the application in the future with new EVs, Hybrids and Plug-In Hybrids from their line.
