Typical, Hyundai produce another eye catching car with an eye catching colour, this time the Hyundai i20 N (pictured above & below) in a "Performance Blue" paint job - and we have to say, we're really looking forward to seeing this on the streets.
Like the Hyundai i30 N model, which has made a huge impact in compact performance cars, it's going to be backed up next year with the i20 N ready to take on the competitive performance market.
The new Hyundai i20 N exterior will include gorgeous 18" Aluminium Wheels, huge Roof Spoiler, and an extra Air Intake in the front bumper.
Also included in the exterior are modified Rear Lights, a Rear Bumper with a Diffuser and a triangular Rear Fog Light. Down the side of the i20, you will be able to find Unique Side Skirts with the body of the car being available in seven colours to round off the sexy, sharp looking body of the i20.
Inside, there's a Black Interior with "Performance Blue" accents, Sports Seats with Integrated Headrests, Sports Steering Wheel, Metal Pedals, Unique Instrument Cluster Graphics and a Special Gear Knob.
Under the hood of the i20 N is a 1.6L Turbocharged engine that features an Intercooler and Special Water Pump.
The engine is capable of producing 204 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 171 hp.
Hyundai has yet to confirm the acceleration numbers or its top speed - however, comparing to other similar cars on the market such as the Kia Ceed (204 hp) which takes 7.4 seconds (0 - 62 mph) and an ST Ford Fiesta taking 6.5 seconds, it gives you some understanding of the performance that will be coming out of the i20.
Launch control will be available, as are several driving modes such as: Normal, Eco, Sport, N & N Custom - with the last one, N Custom, allowing the driver to select various setting such as engine response, sound, steering, ESP and rev-matching - giving the driver complete control to tailor the car to their needs.
