Kia Picanto Wins What Car? Used Car of The Year Award

  • Kia’s smallest vehicle wins the ‘Used City Car’ award
  • Picanto currently one of the best-selling cars in its class in the UK

The Kia Picanto has won best in class, picking up the ‘Used City Car’ award in the What Car? Used Car of the Year 2021 awards.

The annual What Car? Used Car Awards celebrate the best used vehicles available to UK drivers, helping consumers make an informed purchase. The Picanto stands out in the city car segment thanks to a fully transferrable seven-year/100,000-mile warranty, a wide range of equipment, punchy and low-emitting petrol powertrains, and low running costs. The Picanto is currently one of the UK’s best-selling A-segment cars, and is among the cheapest and most reliable cars to run.

Kia’s smallest car is no stranger to award wins, having been voted ‘Best Value Car’ at the Sunday Times Motor Awards in 2019, and the What Car? ‘Best Value Car’ in 2020, thanks to its low running costs and impressive warranty. The Picanto was also named a runner up in the What Car? Used Car Awards in 2019 for ‘Best Used City Car’, praised for its performance, comfort and equipment levels.

The Picanto was upgraded in early 2021, offering customers a range of new safety and telematics technologies often reserved for larger, more expensive vehicles. The upgraded model also boasts lower emissions from newly re-engineered powertrains, and striking design updates, inside and out.
