2023 Kia EV9 Confirmed For The UK

The production of the concept EV9 will sit at the top of Kia's EV range and will go on sale in the UK next year.

From its debut at last year's LA Motor Show, this new all-electric concept will soon drop the 'concept' tag and simply be called the EV9 with Kia already registering the trademark name, and this model is placed on top of their other successful all-electric EV, the EV6.

Standing at 1,790mm tall, 4,930mm long, and 2,055mm wide, the EV9 is larger than the range-topping Kia Sorento and will offer three-row seating to rival the likes of the Mercedes EQB and upcoming Hyundai IONIQ 7.

Just like the expected IONIQ 7, the EV9 will be based on the modular E-GMP platform meaning that we could see the EV6's 77.5kWh battery being made available for the EV9.

But with its bigger size and weight, you can expect the EV9 to achieve slightly fewer miles than the EV6 (328).

Just like the EV6, this model should also offer single and dual-motor options, while its 800V electric architecture will allow for super-fast charging speeds of up to 350kW.

Outside Design
