One of the UK's most popular 100% electric hatchbacks is set to gain a range increase upgrade and a performance spec with the 'XPOWER'.
Priced at just £36,495, MG4 EV Trophy Extended Range offers a 77kWh battery capable of 325 miles on a single charge using the WLTP combined cycle. There is no other comparable BEV available on the UK market which can provide this level of range for the price.
There is also an upgrade to the Electric Motor which sees power increase to 180kW, reducing the 0-62 acceleration time to 6.5 seconds and increasing the top speed to 112mph.
The specification is identical to the Trophy Long Range with the only difference being the addition of the black two-tone roof as standard.
For the same price of just £36,495, MG4 EV XPOWER offers a completely different driving experience as the UK’s first high-performance all-electric hatch.
With Dual Motor technology offering a combined 330kW of power, the 0-62 sprint can be achieved in just 3.8 seconds, and will produce a staggering 429bhp and 600Nm of torque.
But, as you'd expect with a performance upgrade, the range will take a hit with the XPOWER offering a WLTP range of around 239 miles, compared to the 281 miles for the standard Trophy.
Other changes to the XPOWER will include unique 18” Alloy Wheels, performance tyres, and an improved braking system that will ensure the increased performance is kept well under control.
