Nissan has come to the rescue, a knight in shining armour, a light at the end of the tunnel with Dream Drive, a concept dreamt up by Nissan engineers in collaboration with Sound Designer & Sleep Coach, Tom Middleton.
The sleep album has been designed to mimic peaceful sound frequencies of a humming combustion engine, trusted to put your child to sleep at the cost of... no CO2 emissions!
New research that has been conducted has found that parents across Europe are frustratingly sleep-deprived. The majority of parents (65%), who have a child aged two and under are reportedly surviving on five hours of sleep a night, with 60% of them admitting that they resort to dream driving their child to sleep and over half (57%) doing it at least once a week.
When looking at why parents put their faith in this method, Nissan discovered that 70% of parents put the trust in the power of the movement of the vehicle, when in fact it is the soothing sound frequencies of an internal combustion engine (ICE) that is the most significant contributor to ensuring that your child falls asleep in the back of the car.
Worryingly, frequent dream driving in a combustion engine leads to an increase in your carbon footprint, with parents emitting up to 70,000g of CO2 emissions every year. The good news for you is that 70% of European parents agree that an EV would reduce their guilt around dream driving and push them to become more environmentally friendly, setting an example for their children.
As previously mentioned, Nissan collaborated with renowned Sound Designed & Sleep Coach, Tom Middleton, to create Dream Drive. The album for angry babies contains five, three-minute tracks that word in harmony with the advanced in-car technology available in your LEAF.
